Perfect for inshore trolling 12-20 lb. line with 12, 14, 16, or 20 class reels, and still light enough for live bait fishing. This model is built with a two-piece aluminum butt.
Similar models available as a one-piece rod with a slick butt and with an AFTCO three-piece Storabutt designed for optimal storage. Since we build each rod in our shop, rods can also be wrapped in custom colors and your monogram, boat name, or other logo can be added at minimal additional cost.

The best reel pairing depends on the rod class; the light 15-30 model pairs well with 12 to 20 class reels, the versatile 30-50 model goes best with 20/25/30 class reels, and the heavy-duty 50-100 powerhouse is built to team up with 30 LRSA or 50W reels. When a heavy fish strikes while trolling, an EVA foam grip can bind up and get stuck inside the rod holder tube. The hard composite material of the 12-inch Slick Butt minimizes surface friction, allowing you to slide the rod out of the holder seamlessly even under maximum line tension.
Yes. The heavy-duty Fuji Turbo frames are wrapped securely onto the blank to resist frame twisting. Their internal ring inserts are highly polished and diamond-graded to dissipate intense friction heat, preventing braided lines from digging into or wearing down the guides during blistering, long-distance runs.

Yes. CHAOS rods are built to order. Standard colors and wrap patterns are listed on the variant selector; if you want something not shown, email customerservice@chaosfishing.com with your request and the shop foreman will work with you on a custom build.
Typical lead time is 4-6 weeks from order to ship. Custom wraps and finishes add 1-2 weeks. Current shop turnaround is posted on our homepage during build season.
