All returns must be authorized prior to being sent back. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date. Any items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted or processed.
At this time, we do not offer exchanges or pre-paid return labels. Refunds are available either as store credit or to the original payment method.
To be eligible for return, items must be unused, uninstalled, and in their original packaging. All returns are inspected upon receipt and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
The following items are final sale and not eligible for return:
- Spooled reels
- Custom or customized rods
- Gift cards
- Clearance items
All warranty claims for defective products must be processed directly through the manufacturer. Please refer to our Rod Warranty Policy for details regarding CHAOS Rod warranties.
Discretionary returns (including, but not limited to, changed mind, wrong size, or wrong color) are subject to a 10% restocking fee when refunded to the original payment method.
No restocking fee applies when the refund is issued as store credit.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact our Customer Service team immediately upon receipt so we can assist you.

Out of Stock Substitutions
Sometimes we will may unfortunately be Out of Stock of certain items in your order. In that case, we will reach out to you via email and/or phone notifying you of this issue and suggesting any possible substitutions we can provide. If we cannot find any substitutions we may have to cancel your order, and will provide a full refund in this case. Please let us know if you would like a refund in store credit or to your original payment method. Store credit refunds can be processed immediately, whereas it can take 3-5 business days for your refund to process to your original payment method.
If we do not hear back from our attempts to contact you, we will ship any viable substitutions or potentially cancel the order. If there is a price difference in the item(s) sent, we will issue you a refund for the difference.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can resolve your issue as quickly as possible.
Restocking Fee
Our experts inspect each return carefully prior to issuing a refund. If there is any damage, signs of use/wear to the item or its original packaging that causes the item to be in an unsellable condition, then your return will be subject to a restocking fee. Restocking fees are determined on a case-by-case basis based on the condition of the item received. Restocking fee decisions are final.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
We cannot accept returns on Clearance items, Gift Cards (online or in-store), Customized/Monogrammed Rods or Spooled Reels.
Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges for any items at this time. If your order has not shipped yet, please contact us to cancel and refund your order, and you can place a new order for the item you wish to purchase. If your order has shipped or been delivered, then please contact us to proceed with a return. We are happy to refund your order as store credit so you may place your new order immediately, without waiting for the refund to process. We do not provide pre-paid shipping labels.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
