SHIMANO Talica II A Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel
Shimano's redesign of the flagship Talica A sets the industry benchmark again for 2-speed lever drag reels with ultra-smooth reeling and powerful drag performance. The addition of Shimano's innovative Infinity Drive technology leverages a new drag design to increase drag force while reducing side-load pressure to produce up to 40% lighter rotation during tough battles and high-drag situations.
The silky-smooth Cross Carbon Drag now has a maximum drag pressure of up to 66 pounds, and combined with a new low-gear ratio and a redesigned handle configuration within some models, Talica A produces unparalleled winding power. The new generation of Talica A now features X-Protect technology to boast high-level water resistance in vital areas to improve durability without sacrificing a light gear feel. An included Light-Line Drag Cam provides added versatility with a more gradual drag curve for anglers fishing lighter line systems.ย

Select from standard spooling options listed in the drop-down menu above, or let us know how you would like your reel spooled. Custom spooling including top-shots, wind-ons, hollow-core backing, and fluorocarbon are available. Call or send a note with your requirements and we'll advise costs. All reels are machine spooled under ideal tension, braid is spooled with approximately 50 feet of mono backing. Wind-on leaders are offered for both hollow core and non-hollow braid, hollow core is spliced and non-hollow braid is connected loop-to-loop with a bimni twist.
