Product Highlights
DAIWA Tanacom S300J Low Profile Dendoh Reel

The DAIWA Tanacom 300 S is engineered for serious deepwater anglers who demand power without sacrificing comfort. Its compact BRITZ motor delivers 600+ feet per minute of reeling speed, eliminating the shoulder fatigue that comes with extended hand-cranking sessions on deep structures.

The intuitive JOG Power Lever puts you in complete command—throttle down to fight fish with the same finesse as conventional gear, then power up to work structure. Loaded with 1000+ feet of 30 or 40lb braid capacity and a stout 28.6lb max drag, it handles snapper, grouper, deep rockfish, lingcod, and halibut with confidence.

Built for the angler who wants technology that works harder so you can fish longer. Conquer your deep reefs and ledges with precision and ease.

Frequently asked questions.

Still unsure? Call +1-877-337-9591. You'll talk to a builder, not a sales rep.

  • What kind of battery is required to run the TCS300J, and can I connect it directly to my boat’s power system?

This reel needs a 12V DC power source to run. You can use a standard 12V marine battery, it is recommended to use a dedicated portable lithium-ion battery pack designed for electric reels. Connecting directly to your boat's 12V power grid is NOT recommended; the power fluctuations caused by starting the engine or using other onboard electronics can trigger the built-in safety circuit breaker on the reel, causing the motor to pause or reset.

  • Can the TCS300J be used manually if the battery dies?

Yes, it functions completely as a standard conventional reel if you lose power. It has a manual 5.1:1 gear ratio that retrieves 28 inches of line per full turn of the handle. The Ultimate Tournament Drag (UTD) provides up to 28.7lbs of maximum stopping power, which remains fully functional mechanically whether the electric motor is turned on or off.

  • Is this reel safe to submerge or wash down with a hose?

While the TCS300J is built with a sealed, corrosion-resistant aluminum frame, it is water-resistant, not waterproof. You should never submerge the reel in water. To clean it after a day in saltwater, tighten the drag star completely to prevent water from slipping into the carbon drag washers. Gently rinse the exterior with a light spray of cool, fresh water, wipe it down with a soft cloth, and loosen the drag all the way before storing it to preserve washer life.

  • What is ICAST?

ICAST (International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades) serves as the official global launchpad for many reel releases. Held annually in July, ICAST is the world’s largest sportfishing trade show, where manufacturers debut their premier innovations for the upcoming season.
