The SW80 is designed for fishing 80-class reels for monster swordfish. FUJI SIC running guides and a Winthrop Roller Top provide clearance for larger knots and leaders, and they are built with an 80-class full curve aluminum butt to accommodate larger reels. When your not on the swords, this rod is also effective for chasing big tuna or even high-speed trolling for wahoo! Similar models available with either a short bent butt for added leverage or AFTCO's 3-piece Storabutt.
