The Avet MXL fishing reel is suited to heavy beach fishing, rock fishing and general boat fishing.

This is the base MXL model, and is precision machined from 6061 T-6 marine grade aluminion and stainless steel components, and anodised for superior corrosion resistance and a beautifulk finish. The true one piece frame gives ultimate strength, while the sealed bearings and patent dog and gear anti-reverse ensure smooth running under load. The drag lever is adjustable to ensure you have control over the powerful carbon fiber drag system. The off-set machined handle reduces centreline profile and helps to reduce crank wobble.

Custom spooling including top-shots, wind-ons, hollow-core backing, and fluorocarbon are available. Call or send a note with your requirements and we'll advise costs. All reels are machine spooled under ideal tension, braid is spooled with approximately 50 feet of mono backing. Wind-on leaders are offered for both hollow core and non-hollow braid, hollow core is spliced and non-hollow braid is connected loop-to-loop with a bimni twist.
