Offshore Spinning
So what exactly is an offshore spinner? One word – “Tough”. Amazingly, many of the toughest models are as smooth as the smaller inshore spinners. This lineup is often used on pitch rods for large target species like marlin, dolphin, sailfish, and tuna, but the smaller models are also worthy of being part of the offshore fishing arsenal. Some anglers take advantage of the dozens of pounds of drag many models offer to jig large tuna and wahoo. From sailfish here in Florida to Bluefin in the Northeast, these reels are solid and will impart a lot of pressure on fish.
